The Mission Behind Womens Select:
At the heart of my mission is to help others, especially other women struggling with the effects of aging, menopause, weight-gain, chronic illness and hormonal issues. As women, we have such intricate and complex hormonal systems that drive how we feel, perform and recover. My whole life I was a fit and healthy woman, that is until I was diagnosed with PCOS and pre-diabetes. I found myself seeing several specialists, cycling through several tests and medications with few actually dealing with the uncomfortable symptoms of bloating, inflammation and fatigue that were negatively influencing my everyday life. Utilizing my degree in Exercise Science and Pre-medical Studies, I decided to take my own health into my hands and research the best practices for combatting my disorder holistically. I found that a combination of proper exercise, nutrition, and focusing on balancing my hormones helped calm down my inflamed and fatigued body. My hope is to help other women like myself, tackle their health goals with a holistic, female-forward approach. Even if you do not have any hormonal issues, I would encourage you to prioritize your health and nutrition because as we age, our bodies will change and rely more on having set healthy habits!
